Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for estimating the hardness of an abnormal region by utilizing an artifact phenomenon generated in a region where the difference in the acoustic impedance within a subject is at least a prescribed value. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus intentionally generates the artifact phenomenon by regulating the shape and the contact angle, etc., of an ultrasonic probe 3 brought into contact with the abnormal region to classify the artifact phenomenon. The position of the abnormal region is estimated from the classification of the artifact phenomenon, the image of the actual artifact phenomenon and a normal ultrasonic image or the images of the artifact phenomena accumulated in the past.
