Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minutely clarify a mechanism for recognizing double-stranded DNA in a natural immune mechanism. SOLUTION: It is clarified that histone H2B has not only a role as nucleosome formation but also an important role for I type interferon production by recognizing foreign double-stranded DNA and activating an intracellular signal. The complex of extrachromosomal histone H2B and a double-stranded DNA is provided. The method for screening a regulator of a complex of extrachromosomal histone H2B and a double-stranded DNA is provided.
