Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image conversion method which ensures correct restoration, even when an image added with texture in which color information is included has gradation which changes smoothly and continuously in a solidly painted area. SOLUTION: The image conversion method has an area in which texture is superimposed, a process to extract the texture of the area, a process to extract a strength modulation component of the texture, and a process to reduce the strength modulation component of the texture from an image of the area in which the texture is superimposed.
