Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller which can make the effect of side images uniform for an observer. SOLUTION: An LCD controller 21 which controls liquid display elements to display images to be displayed on a display screen by spatial luminance modulation; includes a memory 30 for main image for obtaining image data of the main image, a memory 31 for side images for obtaining image data of the side images, and an image synthesizing part 39 modulating the image data of the main image based on nonlinear correspondence relation of the luminance for the axial direction parallel with slope lines on the display screen and the luminance for the direction outside axis with respect to the luminance from the liquid crystal elements and the image data of the side images and turning the modulated image data into image data of the images to be displayed. The image synthesizing part 39 changes degree of modulation for pixel in accordance with pixel positions when a pixel to be modulated is output into the liquid crystal display elements as the image to be displayed when modulating a data value of each pixel of the main image.
