HEAT EXCHANGER STRUCTURE FOR WATER HEATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for a water heater improving heat exchange efficiency by a simple structure. SOLUTION: In regard to the heat exchanger for the water heater obtaining high temperature water by heat exchange with heat quantity of high temperature combustion gas, in a baffle plate 9 having a plurality of partition plates 11 formed by cutting and raising a flat plate 10 alternately and inserted into a heat exchange pipe 7, intervals of the partition plates 11 formed alternately are constituted so as to become denser on the downstream side compared to the upstream side of the heat exchange pipe 7. Thus, even when the heat quantity of the combustion gas is deprived and the combustion gas is contracted on the downstream side of the heat exchange pipe 7, since a flow passage of the combustion gas is narrowed, the flow speed is maintained while not reduced.
