MOLD FOR OPTICAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MOLDING THE OPTICAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for an optical device, improving eccentric precision of the optical device by securing higher precision of the center axis of an upper and lower dies compared with the conventional one in the manufacture of the optical device by press-forming. SOLUTION: In the mold 1 for the optical device which has the upper die 2 and the lower die 3 each having an optical device-forming surface and comprising a columnar drum part, a cylindrical inner drum 4 for positioning the center axes of the optical device by sliding the drum parts of the upper die 2 and the lower die 3 respectively and fitting them, and a cylindrical outer drum 5 arranged to have a gap in the outer periphery of the inner drum 4 and regulating a distance between the upper die 2 and the lower die 3 in a vertical direction, and forms the optical device by press-forming an optical device formation raw material housed between the upper die 2 and the lower die 3, flanges 3a, 4a to be brought into pressure-contact with each other in press-forming are provided to the lower end of the lower die 3 and the lower end of the inner drum 4 and the outer drum 5 presses the flange 4a of the inner drum 4 from the upper part.
