Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide surface-treated gibbsite type aluminum hydroxide particles which exhibit higher flame retardancy and generate small kneading torque when filled into a resin. SOLUTION: The surface-treated gibbsite type aluminum hydroxide particles are obtained by surface-treating gibbsite type aluminum hydroxide particles with silicone oil, wherein the gibbsite type aluminum hydroxide particles have an average primary particle diameter of 0.01-0.3 μm, a DOP oil absorption of 90-300 mL/100 g and an average secondary particle diameter of 0.1-10 μm, and wherein an amount of the silicone oil used is 0.5-4 pts.wt. in the surface-treated gibbsite type aluminum hydroxide particles.
