Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twin-tube type damper provided with an outer shell made of an aluminum alloy. SOLUTION: In the twin-tube type damper for containing a cylinder 2 within an outer shell 1, the outer shell 1 includes an end member 1A of an aluminum alloy which has a cylindrical portion 12 and a pipe member 1B of an aluminum alloy which is friction-pressure welded by the cylindrical portion 12. A protrusion 1C abutting on an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder 2 is formed on an inner circumferential surface of the outer shell 1. The protrusion 1C is formed by cutting part of a burr generated by the friction-pressure welding of the cylindrical portion 12 with the pipe member 1B. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
