Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for treating wastewater containing organic chemicals, such as dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), for the purpose of recycling the organic chemicals contained therein, and an apparatus for performing such a treatment, which method and apparatus can drastically reduce the load acting on a biological treating vessel and permit corresponding downsizing of the biological treating vessel, decreasing of a floor space, reducing of energy consumption and the amount of excess sludge and recycling of the organic chemicals such as the DMSO contained in the wastewater. SOLUTION: The method includes passing the organic chemical containing wastewater through a reverse osmosis membrane apparatus 4, subjecting the permeated liquid separated in the reverse osmosis membrane apparatus 4 to a biological treatment and recovering the condensate separated in the reverse osmosis membrane apparatus 4.
