AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND AUTHENTICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform authentication between the portable equipment of a crew and on-board information equipment while securing privacy and security without having a user perform any special operation. SOLUTION: The time-sequential data of detection values (position information and acceleration information, etc.) detected by respective sensor parts 11 and 21 of the on-board information equipment 10 and the portable equipment 20 are utilized as an authentication key for determining the propriety of the authentication. Such time-sequential data of the detection values of the sensor parts 11 and 21 are data which are extremely difficult to obtain even when they are to be obtianed outside an automobile. Thus, by using such time-sequential data of the detection values as an authentication key, the authentication is performed with the on-board information equipment 10 with only the portable equipment 20 carried by the crew as an object. As a result, when authenticating the on-board information equipment 10 and the portable equipment 20 and connecting them through a network, sufficient security is secured and the privacy is protected.
