DISPLAY CONTROLLER AND PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent illegible small characters from being displayed for displaying character information. SOLUTION: A widget decides the character size of the character to be displayed in a window, according to an instructed widow size and sends a use request including the specification of the character size to a list display application (S2). The list display application determines whether or not the use of the character corresponding to the use request is permitted (S3) and informs the determination result (S4). The widget re-specifies the character size largely (S6) and makes the use request again (S2), when use in the specified character size is inhibited. On the other hand, the widget sends the display request of an image in which the character is used in the character size to the list display application (S9), when the use in the specified character size is permitted.
