LOCK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a release operation stroke of a lock device provided with a play preventing function of a striker when locking. SOLUTION: A pawl 30 composing the lock device 5 is rotatably journaled to a base plate 10 by a first spindle 31, and a hook 20 is rotatably journaled to the base plate 10 along with a driving plate 40 by a second spindle 21 and is interlockable with movement of the driving plate 40. The hook 20 rotates pressed by the movement of a striker S entering a recess 11 of the base plate 10 and becomes a state of holding the striker S between the hook and the recess 11. The pawl 30 rotates to a position engaging with the hook 20 energized by the rotation of the hook 20, and becomes a state restricting the returning rotation of the hook 20. The driving plate 40 rotates pressed by a force of the pawl 30 rotating to the lock direction by energizing, presses the striker S to the inside of the recess 11 and retains it in a state filling the play.
