DEVICE FOR JOINING FILM MATERIALS TOGETHER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate joining work when overlapping parts of two film materials are joined together and to obtain desired joining accuracy in both film materials. SOLUTION: The device for joining the film materials together has front and rear tension giving devices 7 and 8 which are fixed to a working surface 4 side to hold both film materials 2 and 3 from the front and rear respectively, grip front end sides and rear end sides of both film materials 2 and 3 unitedly and respectively, and give tension toward the front-rear direction to both film materials 2 and 3, a joining machine 19 which is arranged between the rear tension giving devices 7 and 8 and is made self-movable foward-backward on the working surface 4 and joins both overlapping parts 2a and 3a together with its forward self-movement, and a support device 42 which supports the front parts 2F and 3F of both film materials 2 and 3 between the front tension giving device 7 and the joining machine 19 from below to maintain them at a prescribed height on the working surface 4 and contracts/stretches in the front-rear direction in linkage with the front/rear self-movement of the joining machine 19 with the supporting state maintained.
