Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for determining the use mode of an electronic cassette (detector) and a mounting base to which it is attached, and for selecting any among a plurality of relay stations based on the result thereof. SOLUTION: A radiation imaging system is provided with: the detector which detects radiation passing through a subject in a transportable state or in a state of being attached to the support; a control unit which controls a radiation image using the detector; and a plurality of relay stations which relay wireless communication of the detector. The mounting base is provided with a detection part which detects attachment of the detector. Here, the control unit determines the usage pattern of the detector or attachment of the detector to the mounting base based on detection information from the detector or a request for connection from the detector, and selects one of the relay stations based on the result of the determination.
