Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging element capable of selecting a plurality of rows simultaneously in parallel to one another in a short time, and a camera system. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging element includes: a pixel part 110 where a plurality of pixels each including a photoelectric conversion element for converting an optical signal to an electric signal to store the electric signal in accordance with an exposure time are arranged in a matrix-like form; a plurality of control lines for controlling the drive of the pixels; and pixel drive parts 120-150 for controlling the electronic shutter operation of the pixel part and operations of the pixels to execute reading through the control lines where the pixel drive part includes a function of outputting a read row selection signal and a shutter row selection signal of row addresses of a read row for reading a signal according to an address signal and a shutter row for sweeping out electric charges stored in the photoelectric conversion element and resetting them, and a function of selecting a plurality of continuous rows by designating the least significant address signal and the most significant address signal.
