OPTICAL DISK RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten adjust time in a disk drive part when an optical disk is loaded even when pieces of identification information of optical disks stored beforehand corresponding to adjust values includes no information matching that of the loaded optical disk. SOLUTION: The optical disk recording/reproducing device includes: a disk drive part 2 provided with a pickup 23 for reading information recorded in an optical disk 21 or writing information in the optical disk 21, and a servo part 24 for optimizing the state of the pickup 23 in the optical disk 21 from a start from an initial state; a memory part 5 for storing the identification information of the optical disk corresponding to an adjust value indicating the stage of the pickup 23 optimized; and an initial value setting part for setting an initial value indicating the initial stage to an adjust value corresponding to, among pieces of identification information stored in the memory part 5, most proximate identification information having a smallest difference from the identification information read from the optical disk 21.
