LENS CAP AND IMAGING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens cap which prevents a gap from spoiling appearance, wherein the gap is formed between counter surfaces of adjoining barriers in a state where the barriers close the front of a lens unit, and to obtain an imaging apparatus with the lens cap. SOLUTION: The lens cap includes: a ring-like base 9 attached to an outer circumferential part of a front end of a fixed barrel of the lens unit; and a plurality of barriers 46 supported by shafts so as to open/close the front end opening of the base 9 on the outer circumferential part of the base 9. Each barrier 46, whose outer circumferential part is supported to be rotatable by the shaft 4, is biased to rotate in a direction in which it closes the front end opening of the base 9. When the lens unit is extended to a use position, the barrier is pressed by an outer circumferential part of a front end of a rotary barrel, rotated against biasing force to open the front end opening of the base 9, and separates from a lens holding barrel. In a state where the barriers 46 close the front end opening of the base 9, counter edge parts of the barriers 46 adjoining each other are superimposed when viewed from an optical axis direction of a lens.
