Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly construct a reclining device for vehicle seat in the width direction. SOLUTION: The reclining device for vehicle seat, used for fixing a backrest angle of a seat back 2 to a vehicle body side wall Bo (vehicle body), includes an engagement member 11 provided on the seat back 2 and a rail 20 provided on a vehicle body side wall Bo to engage with the engagement member 11. The seat back 2 is structured so that the backrest angle to the vehicle body side wall Bo is fixed by engagement of the engagement member 11 with the rail 20. The engagement member 11 is structured so that an external tooth 11A formed at the engagement member 11 engages with an internal tooth 21A formed at an upper piece 21 of the rail 20 to be engaged with the rail 20, by movement in the height direction relative to the seat back 2. The upper piece 21 of the rail 20 is formed into a sectional shape with high support strength by forming a cross section constituting the internal tooth 21A from a continuous sectional space.
