Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lap fillet arc welding method that prevents the occurrence of weld defects such as a pit and burn through in welding a thin lower sheet of galvanized steel sheet and a thick upper sheet and provides a superior weld zone shape as a result. SOLUTION: The lap fillet arc welding method is provided in which, as an arc welding power source, an arc welding power source is used having a function of advancing and retreating the supply of a welding wire and in which the lower sheet is a galvanized steel sheet and the upper sheet is a steel sheet thicker than the galvanized steel sheet. The method is characterized in that a part of the upper sheet is ground before welding, and that, when W [mm] is a distance to the upper sheet from the intersection between the weld wire delivered from a welding torch and the lower sheet, WFR [m/min] is a wire feeding speed, and V [m/min] is a welding speed, 0.5 mm≤W≤1.5 mm and -0.2WFR/V+2.333≤W≤0.15WFR/V, and that the shielding gas is carbon dioxide.
