IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recognition technology using a recognition dictionary in accordance with a schedule of a user. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is configured: to store schedule information to manage scheduled place information showing a place where a user is scheduled to stay and a scheduled time zone information showing a time zone when the user is scheduled to stay at the scheduled place in association with each other; to store a recognition dictionary to be used for recognizing an object which may appear in a pickup image when the scheduled place is imaged in association with the scheduled place information; to acquire time information showing the current time and the image of the place where the user stays at the current time; to specify the scheduled place information stored in association with the scheduled time zone information showing the time zone including the acquired time information; to specify the recognition dictionary stored in association with the specified scheduled place information; to recognize an object in the image by using the specified recognition dictionary; and to output recognition information showing the result of recognition.
