ROAD SURFACE IMAGE CAPTURING/EDITING DEVICE AND ROAD SURFACE IMAGE CAPTURING/EDITING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface image capturing/editing device and a road surface image capturing/editing program for identifiably capturing images of road surfaces which are sunny or shadow during the daytime. SOLUTION: Capturing means 10, 12 appropriately adjust a shutter speed and a gain of a camera having the same, and in accordance with instructions of a controller 20, they simultaneously capture, every time a vehicle 100 travels at a predetermined distance, a road surface image in which a sunlit region can be identified and a road surface image in which a shaded region can be identified while the images are partially overlapped in the road width direction and the direction of advance of the vehicle 100. The controller 20 then performs keystone correction for the road surface images, calculates the degree of conformity of the overlapping regions in the road width direction and the degree of conformity of the overlapping regions in the direction of advance of the vehicle 100 in the road surface images, and joins the road surface images according to the degrees of conformity.
