Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque detector having high capability of eliminating an adverse effect of external magnetic field noise with the size and cost of the detector suppressed. SOLUTION: The torque detection device includes a first magnetic shield 77 which is installed along first magnetism collecting bodies 71, 72 and structured so that an end 77a may come nearer and opposes to magnetism collecting ends 73a, 74a of second magnetism collecting bodies 73, 74 than the first magnetism collecting bodies 71, 72 and a second magnetic shield 78 which is installed along second magnetism collecting bodies 73, 74 and structured so that an end 78a may come nearer and opposes to magnetism collecting ends 71a, 72a of the first magnetism collecting bodies 71, 72 than the second magnetism collecting bodies 73, 74.
