OPTICAL TORQUE SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical torque sensor which has a simple structure and is easy to assemble. SOLUTION: The optical torque sensor includes a light-emitting unit 3 which emits light in the axial direction of a torsion bar 2 which is torsionally deformed according to a rotational torque, a reflector 4 on which the light from the light-emitting unit 3 is made incident, a light-receiving unit 5 which receives the light reflected by the reflector 4, and a transmitted light quantity variable mechanism 6 which is positioned on an optical axis between the light-emitting unit 3 and the reflector 4 and varies the quantity of transmitted light according to a torsion angle of the torsion bar 2.
