Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a micro gas generator having automatic ignition function operated before being weakened by heat without impairing the cleanliness of exhaust gas. SOLUTION: In a gas generator 6 provided with a gas generating agent 5, a bottomed cylindrical cup body 3 for filling the gas generating agent 5 therein, and a holder 1 formed integrally with squibs 2 and fixedly sealing the squibs 2 in the cup body 3, the holder 1 and the cup body 3 are engaged and fixed to form an exterior of the gas generator 6, which has an automatic ignition agent layer 4 including nitrocellulose at least on an interior bottom face or on an interior side face in the internal face of the cup body 3, and the automatic ignition agent layer 4 is formed by drying a solvent contained the automatic ignition agent including nitrocellulose after sticking to the internal face of the cup body 3.
