DEVICE FOR HALTING BACKWARD MOVEMENT OF HAND GUIDE ROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for halting the backward movement of a hand guide roller which can reduce an operating force of a backward movement halting rod while improving operability. SOLUTION: A handle 10 is mounted to a rear part of the hand guide roller, and a travel lever 14 is mounted tiltable in forward and backward directions at a lever mounting frame 12 provided at the tip of the handle 10. The backward movement halting rod 15 for an urgent halt by pressing the travel lever 14 forward when moving backward is mounted movably in forward and backward directions at the lever mounting frame 12 in such a way as to protrude backward. A pressing force direction converting member 45 for converting a forward pressing force of the backward movement halting rod 15 into a rotational force in a direction raising the travel lever 14 in a backwardly tilted attitude is rotatably mounted to the lever mounting frame 12.
