ELECTRIC MOLD CLAMPING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping device using an electric drive system requiring a link mechanism used in a die casting machine or an injection molding machine. SOLUTION: The mold clamping device includes: a machine base; a fixed plate which is fixedly placed on the machine base and holds a fixed mold; a fixed platen slidably placed at the anti-mold side of the fixed plate; a tie bar connected with the fixed platen; a movable platen which is slidably placed on the machine base in the mold opening/closing direction, holds a movable mold, and includes a half nut which can engage with/separate from the tie bar; the mold opening/closing device which can open/close and drive the movable platen; and a plurality of mold clamping force generation mechanism which is mounted between the fixed plate and the fixed platen, operated by a motor and a screw for mold clamping and can generate the mold clamping force and a mold separating force.
