SOLID MATTER SEPARATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance separation efficiency not only to shorten a treatment time but also to contract an installation space. SOLUTION: The solid matter separation system is equipped with a flocculant injection device 6 for injecting a flocculant, which flocculates solid matter contained in raw water to form flocs, in the raw water, a flocculant stirrer 7 for stirring the raw water, in which the flocculant is injected, using a water current to send out the same, a floc forming tank 15 for stagnating the raw water when the stirred raw water flows in to form flocs and sending out the flocs using the water current, a centrifugal separator 16 for revolving the inflow raw water using the water current when the floc-containing raw water flows in and separating the revolved raw water into the flocs being the solid matter and treated water by centrifugal force, a sludge storage tank 18 for storing the flocs separated by the centrifugal separator as sludge, and a circulation line L for mixing the sludge stored in the sludge storage tank with the raw water before the flocculant is injected by the flocculant injection device.
