CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position the medium supply portion of an accommodating section regardless of the weight of mediums accommodated in it. SOLUTION: A supply section 130 is provided separately from an accommodating section 120. The supply section 130 is attached so as to permit upward and downward movement relative to the accommodating section 120. When the projection 111 of a body is inserted into the recess 131 of the supply section 130 and positioned, the conveying member 112 of the body and the conveying member 132 of the supply section 130 come in contact with each other at an appropriate pressure. The positional relation between the conveying members 112 and 132 does not change even if the accommodating section 120 moves to a lower level due to the weight of recording mediums (refer to two-dot chain line).
