Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with both of spigot machining and grinding for reduction in cost even though a conventional press fitting needs the spigot machining at both ends of a blank and the grinding to remove swelling after the press fitting in a coupling method between a flange and the blank of a developing roller. SOLUTION: In a developer carrier supplying a developer to an image carrier for visualizing an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier, the flange and the blank of the developing roller are coupled together by welding with an YAG (yttrium aluminum garnet) laser.
