Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having high heat resistance, high transparency, and excellent embedding property in a recess, to be used for forming an optical component, and to provide an optical component and an optical device having excellent performance obtained by using the resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition to be used for forming an optical component comprises a resin having a refractive index of not less than 1.6, a low molecular weight compound having a weight average molecular weight of 100 to 3,000, and high refractive index particles having a refractive index higher than that of the resin.
