Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator promptly moisturizing a water absorbing bar during water supply. SOLUTION: The mist generator includes: a water storage part storing water; and an atomization part atomizing water. The mist generator further includes: the water absorbing bar absorbing water stored in the water storage part from one end and supplying the water from one end on the opposite side to the atomization part; an opening/closing part which is an opening/closing mechanism for opening/closing an exterior positioned on the upper part of the mist generator; and a water supply passage interconnecting a hole part formed when the opening/closing part becomes an opening state, and the water storage part. The atomization part is provided in the exterior of the mist generator opened/closed by the opening/closing part. The water absorbing bar is provided in the position where one end is made to abut on the atomization part when the opening/closing part becomes a closing state, and where one end is exposed to outside of the mist generator by the hole part when the opening/closing part becomes the opening state.
