Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery suppressing damages of an electrode group. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes the electrode group 10 having a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator, a case 20 having an opening 20a and containing the electrode group, a sealing element 30 closing the opening in the case, a spacer 50, and a nonaqueous electrolyte contained in the case. The spacer 50 is in contact with the electrode group 10 and the sealing element 30 to maintain a space between the electrode group and the sealing element to fix a relative position of the electrode group 10 to the case 20.
