Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle passing tread sensor and vehicle passing detection apparatus, capable of sufficiently ensuring reliability and performance maintenance, the sensor and apparatus being invented by taking problems of conventional tread sensors into consideration. SOLUTION: The vehicle passing tread sensor is intended to be embedded in road in a direction almost perpendicular to the traveling direction of a vehicle. The sensor includes: a pipe with an air hole therein and is composed of an elastic material; fluid filled in the air hole of the pipe; and a fluid pressure sensor that measures pressure of the fluid.
