METHOD OF PERFORMING BATCH PROCESSING, AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING BATCH PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform batch processing at high speed from an online server. SOLUTION: A batch control program 310 includes a batch control program (for batches) 410 for asynchronous processing for performing jobs defined in job definition information 311 as asynchronous batch processing, wherein output data of a single job turns into input data of another job and a batch control program (for online) 420 for synchronous processing for performing the jobs defined in the job definition information 311, according to a defined sequence. When a synchronous batch processing command is received online by the batch control program (for online) 420 for synchronous processing, an input master file 350 and an output master file 360 are generated on a memory space of a RAM disk; input data and output data in a magnetic disk device are copied; and synchronous batch processing is performed, making a reference to the input data and output data on the RAM disk.
