Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate having optical compensation ability to eliminate a phase difference between adjacent pixels of each color, and to provide a method for producing the color filter substrate having optical compensation ability. SOLUTION: A color filter layer 3 on which colored pixels of two or more colors are formed and which has a function of aligning liquid crystals is arranged on a substrate 2. An optical compensation layer 4 is formed on each colored pixel of the color filter layer 3. The color filter layer 3 is formed by applying a colored resin composition, which includes a color resist component including a plurality of pixel color pigments, an optical-orientable film component and a photoinitiator, onto the substrate 2, exposing the applied colored resin composition at each zone corresponding to a pattern of each colored pixel and heating the exposed colored resin composition. The optical compensation layer 4 is formed by applying a solution including a polymerizable liquid crystalline compound and a photoinitiator onto the color filter layer 3, exposing the applied solution at each zone corresponding to the pattern of each colored pixel and heating the exposed solution for a fixed time at the temperature equal to or higher than the isotropic phase transition temperature of the polymerizable liquid crystalline compound or exposing the whole surface of the exposed solution at the same temperature.
