METHOD FOR PRODUCING TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a toner, which has excellent low temperature fixing property, suppresses filming on a photoreceptor and achieves high productivity in a melt-kneading process. SOLUTION: The method for producing a toner includes a step of melt-kneading a toner raw material containing a binder resin comprising a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin by use of an open-roll kneading machine. The crystalline resin includes a composite resin including: a condensation polymerization resin component obtained by condensation polymerization of an alcohol component containing a 2-10C aliphatic diol with a carboxylic acid component containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid compound; and a styrene resin component. The weight ratio (condensation polymerization resin component/styrene resin component) of the condensation polymerization resin component to the styrene resin component is from 50/50 to 95/5.
