METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WOOD PLATE-LIKE BUILDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wood plate-like building material, which enables a sliced veneer, superposed on the surface layer side of the wood plate-like building material, to be efficiently worked in a thick-walled manner, and which can improve the designability of the wood plate-like building material. SOLUTION: Wood 1, to which heating treatment is applied under high-pressure and high-temperature steam, is sliced under a wet state so as to be manufactured into the sliced veneer 13. The sliced veneer is stuck on a wood base material 12 so as to be manufactured into a laminated body 11. After that, at least either of a groove portion 14 and a chamfered portion 15 is formed on the surface 11a of the laminated body in such a manner that a depth D from the surface 13a of the sliced veneer to the lower ends 14a and 15a thereof is equal to/smaller than a depth twice greater in dimension than the thickness T of the sliced veneer.
