Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen a service life of a battery, while securing safety by the realization of low voltage of the battery as a driving source of a garbage loading device. SOLUTION: This garbage collecting vehicle includes an electric motor for driving the garbage loading device and a lithium ion battery 8 for supplying electric power to the electric motor. The battery 8 is arranged under a garbage storage box, and is fixed to a vehicle body frame 5 (or the garbage storage box 2) via heat insulation materials 21 and 23, and also includes a traveling engine, a traveling lead-acid battery, a PTO device, a hydraulic pump driven by the PTO device or the electric motor and driving the garbage loading device, a control device for controlling the operation of the garbage loading device, and a converter for converting the voltage of the battery 8 into an input source voltage range of the control device. When the hydraulic pump is driven by the PTO device, the control device uses the lead-acid battery as a power source, and when the hydraulic pump is driven by the electric motor, the control device uses the lithium ion battery as a power source via the converter.
