FUNCTIONAL THIN FILM PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to correct the distortion in the width direction of a printing pattern generated when a fine pattern thin film is formed by a letterpress printing method. SOLUTION: A letterpress printing apparatus is used for forming a functional thin film on a base material, and includes at least a cylindrical plate cylinder having a letterpress with the printing pattern formed in its peripheral part, an anilox roll for supplying ink to the letterpress, an ink supply device, and a positioning surface plate loading a printing object to which the ink of the letterpress is transferred. The letterpress printing apparatus has a mechanism which corrects the distortion in the width direction of a print caused by a printing plate and a printing operation by moving the cylindrical plate cylinder and/or the positioning surface plate in a direction to eliminate the distortion of the printing pattern measured in advance during the printing operation.
