Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase luminescence assay measurement sensitivity in a cellular biological and molecular biological field. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for increasing luminescence assay sensitivity. The method includes a step of performing assay in the presence of an organic compound which reduces luminescence independent on the presence of an analyte by an amount of at least about 10 times and reduces the luminescence dependent on the presence of the analyte by an amount of substantially 7 times or below. The present invention also provides an assay kit including a packaging material containing (1) a luminescence source substrate of a luminescent enzyme or a luminescence source enzyme, and (2) the organic compound reducing the luminescence independent on the presence of the analyte by at least about 10 times and reducing the luminescence dependent on the presence of the analyte by an amount of substantially 7 times or below.
