SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes: (A) nozzles which discharge dye ink of a certain color; (B) nozzles which discharge pigment ink of the certain color; (C) a sensor which outputs a signal corresponding to the temperature change of the ink; (D) a control unit which, when printing an image including the certain color, controls so as to print an image using one of the dye ink and the pigment ink and, when the ink temperature based on the output result of the sensor is equal to or below a threshold, controls so as to print the image using the other ink in addition to the one ink; and (E).
