Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel increased in a service life by efficiently aging a needed part to reduce the aging process as much as possible, and to provide a method of aging the same. SOLUTION: In a plasma display panel including a plurality of pairs of display electrodes arranged with a discharge gap between them, forming a dielectric layer to cover the pairs of display electrodes and forming a protective layer on the dielectric layer, a voltage is applied at least between the display electrodes to perform aging discharge to generate discharge marks on the protective layer, whereby the discharge mark on the discharge gap is formed deeper than that on the display electrode.
