Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently drive a backlight to reduce the power consumption. SOLUTION: The image display control device capable of controlling brightness of each of a plurality of light source element regions into which a display surface for displaying an image is divided, includes: a plurality of light source elements 143a for irradiating respective light source element regions; a display data-monitoring part 147 which determines brightness of an image displayed in each light source element region on the basis of information of the display image and controls power supplied to each light source element 143a on the basis of the determined brightness; and a backlight driving part 144 which supplies power to light source elements 143a individually in accordance with the control to emit light.
