Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing for internal combustion engines excellent in discharging foreign matters. SOLUTION: The sliding bearing for a crank shaft is formed by combining a pair of semi-cylindrical bearings 10, 30 with each other into a cylindrical body. An oil groove 20 extended in the entire circumferential direction is formed on the inner circumferential surface of one semi-cylindrical bearing 10. Each of the inner circumferential surfaces of the respective semi-cylindrical bearings, consists of first and second curved surfaces formed along two kinds of arcs with different curvatures. The first curved surface 16 is in a region including a circumferential central portion of the inner circumferential surface. The second curved surfaces 18 are in the remaining two regions of the inner circumferential surface, which continue to the first curved surface region and extend toward both ends in the circumferential direction of the semi-cylindrical bearing. An axial groove G for a lubricating oil extending over the whole bearing width exists along both butted end surfaces of a pair of the semi-cylindrical bearings. The circumferential direction groove 22 of the second curved surfaces and the axial direction groove communicate with each other. The depth of the latter is deeper than that of the former in the communicated portion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
