ENGINE CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax inhibition of engine torque fluctuation and control fuel consumption in a travel condition where vehicle vertical vibration gets large in control of an engine of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This engine control device for the vehicle controlling air fuel ratio of the engine so as to keep magnitude of output torque fluctuation quantity of the engine not exceed prescribed magnitude, changes the prescribed magnitude based on vehicle vertical direction vibration state quantity. The engine control device for the vehicle includes a means determining torque fluctuation quantity of the engine, a means regulating air fuel ratio based on the torque fluctuation quantity, and a means detecting the vehicle vertical direction vibration state quantity. The means regulating air fuel ratio may increase air fuel ratio as the vehicle vertical direction vibration state quantity gets larger. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
