Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer latex having pick strength, wet pick strength and printing glossiness which are important physical properties of coated paper and are all enhanced, having excellent wet stickiness resistance and mechanical stability and having excellent operability in a coated paper production step. SOLUTION: In the copolymer latex obtained by emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture having a composition of a specific range, temperature lowering of polymerization temperature is performed during the emulsion polymerization.
