Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment method enabling a promotion of enzymic saccharification of lignocellulose by using, as a raw material, bark of an unutilized resource as a biomass, and by using an inexpensive installation under a comparatively mild condition with little input energy. SOLUTION: A method for producing saccharides from a bark raw material includes a crushing and fiberizing treatment step for mechanically crushing the bark raw material to fiberize the bark raw material, an alkali treatment step for mixing a crushed and fiberized bark from a crushing and fiberization treatment step with an alkali compound and water, and an enzymic saccharification step for subjecting an alkali-treated bark from the alkali treatment step to a saccharification treatment with an enzyme.
