EFFICIENT SOLID LIGHT SOURCE WHICH EMITS LIGHT IN REGION IN WHICH COLOR SPACE IS RESTRICTED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source capable of changing its color temperature at low cost. SOLUTION: A first component light source emits light having perceptive colors capable of changing within a described two-dimensional region of CIE 1976 color space according to a group of color control signals. A second component light source emits white-color light. A mixing device forms output light signals having perceptive output colors by combining light from the first and second component light sources. A controller forms a group of the color control signals according to input signals from one signal source outside the light sources, and maintains a perceptive output color at one point in the CIE 1976 color space decided by the input signals.
