GEAR DESIGN SUPPORT METHOD, GEAR DESIGN SUPPORT PROGRAM, RECORDING MEDIUM, AND GEAR DESIGN SUPPORT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear design support method, a gear design support program, a recording medium, and a gear design support device, which analyze easily the change with lapse of time of a dynamic behavior of a power transmission mechanism by the abrasion of a gear. SOLUTION: This gear design support method for analyzing the dynamic behavior of the power transmission mechanism constituted of a driving shaft, a shaft to be driven, and a gear train comprising gears installed in the respective shafts, generates at first an equation of motion of each shaft, after inputting basic dimensional information of each gear, driving condition information, shape error information, and friction characteristic information. The equations of motion are solved time-serially based on the various kinds of input information, to calculate operation results of the driving shaft and the shaft to be driven. Shape error change amounts due to the lapse of time in the respective gears are calculated based on the operation results and the various kinds of input information, and each shape error information in the equations of motion is updated based on the shape error change amounts and the shape error information.
