Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate easy adjustment of a meshing state of a drive pinion gear and a ring gear in a method for assembling a differential device with a motor wherein the ring gear attached to a differential case pivoted by a differential carrier is meshed with the drive pinion gear arranged at an end of a rotor shaft pivoted by a motor case. SOLUTION: In the method for assembling the differential device 1 with the motor, the motor case 11 and the differential carrier 31 are connected and the ring gear 36 attached to the differential case 35 pivoted by the differential carrier 31 is meshed with the drive pinion gear 21 arranged at the end of the rotor shaft 15 pivoted by the motor case 11. The meshing state of the drive pinion gear 21 and the ring gear 36 is adjusted by selecting thickness of a shim 50 intervened in a fitting surface between the motor case 11 and the differential carrier 31.
